Macedonian Initiative is a non-denominational and non-governmental organization (NGO) established as a response to the plight of Christians who are victims of religious conflicts in the Africa. Over time, we discovered that the religious crises and uprisings are not sporadic events, but a result of premeditated evil with a goal of exterminating Christianity and imposing a non-Christian religious and social order in nations across the globe.

Through the wisdom of GOD, Macedonian Initiative has been able to build and sustain persecuted churches, save lives, influence government polices and checkmate religious motivated crisis.

Mission Statement

The mission of Macedonian Initiative is based on II Corinthians 8:1-4 :  "…moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia: 2 that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality. 3 for I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing, 4 imploring us with much urgency that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.”

Objectives

Trauma Counseling and Relief Operations

• This includes but is not limited to providing financial support, counseling medical care, food, clothes and other relevant supplies to groups, families and individuals who are victims of religious motivated crises.

Research and Collation of Statistics

• Through our worldwide contacts and resources, we collate data relevant to our main goal which is, mitigating and eliminating the effects of religious crisis, and where possible, prevent the occurrence of these acts of violence.

Networking and Advocacy

• MI continues to interact and interface with religious organizations, (irrespective of denominational barriers), government and legislative bodies, to influence policy, to paralyze the activities of the perpetrators and motivators of violence triggered by religion.

Furthermore, our goals amongst others is to sensitize, teach, educate and empower the Christian community of the real and apparent dangers that are affecting the church, and provide necessary information and resources to prevent a repeat of the history of the Middle Eastern and North African church.
